Pizzeria Capoli in Shinjuku

So we decided to check it out on the reviews but didn’t quite get a chance to.....to begin, if you are a foreigner, or maybe just of color, you are going to be told the place is full (there were 7 empty tables)....and later reservations only available (a group I had a chance to talk with said they were going to try it, they were seated quickly without a reservation. I went down after being informed and was again told reservation only). So if you are a foreigner or maybe of color, I wouldn’t advise visiting this establishment unless you want to experience racism against you.

One of the best pizzas i have ever had

Showed up at 8:45, after finding out I was just 1 person they told me "no pizza, finished" even though they are open until 10:30? Place wasn't even busy. Guess they don't want my business...

Amazing pizza - true Neapolitan pizza! I loved this place, their Margarita is about ¥1,500 but totally worth it or you can even go for the premium one with Buffala and I think thats ¥2,100 but again delicious! One of the best pizza places in Tokyo!

I had pizza and pasta. They both tasted good, the pizza dough was great... but the service was pretty cold, I didn’t really feel welcomed.

Buona pizza anche per un Italiano ma..Good Pizza (for japanese Standard) but quite good also for Italian Standard. The size was a bit small for an Italian like me (but the "pasta size" was quite high) . Prices quite expensives. Staff doesn't speak Italian and not so much English but sometime they speak Italian random words (and it was funny for me) like "buonasera" "benvenuti" "buon appetito". Outside the restaurant they have a banner that "certifis their pizza" . After I understood that Usually they have a fixed price and you can eat more things until 90 minutes but they was not able to explain to me 😒. So I ate only one pizza and I payed for that.

Delicious Margarita pizza.

I came to the store because an acquaintance of Italians praised it.It was a real Neapolitan pizza that was baked in about 1 minute. There is a mark recognized in Naples.Appetizers and wines feel squiggly when compared to the pizza level.I am very satisfied with the overall evaluation. I want to go again.

Great service and fairly authentic napolitan pizza! I find it a little pricy but definitely worth it. Pizzaioli working there show good skills / the Mozzarella di buffala was really tasty 🐃🍕

We ordered the usual - Quattro fromaggi and margherita. Great pizzas though I would prefer more Gorgonzola.Despite some of the reviews, the service are good (normal, they serve the customers on time). The service is prompt, you order and your get your order not long after. Probably not more as the place is full even before noon on Sat. The price is higher than usual however their pizzas are bigger than usual. The waiter had to ask if we want both pizza at the same time as they might not fit our 2 people table.

The pizza was nice.. But I recommend that you order the normal Margherita instead of Margherita bufala since they will use almost the same cheese but charge you more!

The pizza was good, nothing wrong about it, but it just wasn't "up there" with the best. Good service and very pleasant staff.

Officially recognized Napoli pizzeria. The food is great, the pizza are always fresh. It has easy access from the station. Very crowded so reservations are a must. The staff are friendly but aren't as attentive (maybe she to the fact that there are just so many customers to attend to).

Mediocre pizza, charged us for bread we didn't order we thought to be complimentary. Avoid.
